These terms of service govern your use of the website Enhanced Chess ("site") developed by WaffleStock ("we" or "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms.

The service

Enhanced Chess is a free, ad-free chess variant, offered as a side project rather than a commercial product. You can play locally on one device, against the built-in computer, or online against other players, with or without an account.

We may change, add to, or remove features, or take the site down entirely, at any time and without notice.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use this site. If you're old enough to use the site but haven't yet reached the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to create an account.

Your account

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything that happens under it. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

Don't use a username that impersonates someone else or is abusive, and don't use automated tools (bots, external chess engines, or similar) to gain an unfair advantage against other players. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided "as is," with no warranties of any kind. As a hobby project, we can't guarantee it will always work correctly or be available.

To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of the site, including lost game data or account access.
